Caterham wheel nut sizes...
prawnabie - 10/2/10 at 11:51 AM

Hi guys

Ive just bought a spare wheel holder from caterham. The part that came is what I wanted, but the threads for the wheel studs are m10 and not m12. Did caterham change there stud sizes at some point?
Cheers

Shaun

Caterham were originally 3/8" UNF

Thanks BT thats saved me some money! Are there any production cars apart from the above that used 3/8 wheel nuts.

Cheers

It seems the PCD of the holder is wrong too! I will have to do some cutting and welding tomorrow!!

That's right, Triumph Spitfire have 3/8 inch nuts. I've a set of them to sell for a small price. I will put MGF wheels one my Triumph Spitfire running gear. They fit nicely but I use specific nuts with washers.

I can run a m10x1 nut down it, i take it 3/8 unf and m10x1 are similar?
