Google Astley Components (Feering) and DJ Evans (Bury St Edmunds) - they both have a good supply.

SCH's (Socket Cap Head) have a thread length that is dependant on thread Diameter (rather than bolt length. So a 6" Long bolt will have the same length thread as a 3" long bolt. This means that a standard SHC will have a long un-threaded area if it is a long bolt (if that makes any sense).

So if you order a 10" Long standard M8 SHC (for instance) most of that will be unthreaded. Set Screws on the hand are threaded over there entire length.

Namrick do standard bolts upto 150mm Long (~6" in there standard Catalogue. For example 6" Long 7/16 UNf Bolt = £2.66.

You should be able to find a wealth of information here:

Hopefully will be of use Liam.

Edit: Liam I have just realised that I have a load of large size and Long 12.9 grade Metric Cap Heads in my garage, you can have a load if they are what you need.
