13 inch tyre size choice
MikeCapon - 15/10/13 at 05:28 PM

A customer of mine came to visit at the weekend with his Martin Seven. Built in the 80's it's a largish 7 and weighs 750 kg. Yes, it has a pinto motor.....

For now the car is sat on some odd wheels. 15" at the front and 16" at the rear. He was looking to go to 15"s all round but 13"s will fit. So the question is what size tyres would you all recommend. Road use only.

Thanks in advance,

Mike

13" is my choice, as they suit a 7
but one clown on her wants to put 24"

each of us has an opinion !!

i think a 185/60/13 front 205/60/13 rear is a good balance for most unless running big power!

^^^^^^
As above

Something that old and heavy I would go for what looks the best
15 all round in 50 profile or 13 all round with 60 profile
I do run a mix of 14" and 13" with gearing in mind

Have you seen this thread:

My car came with 185 front 205 rear but the price difference is so huge on the 205 I went 185 all round based on the comments on here.

You really need to advise what tyre size is on it at present as I am sure the owner will want to maintain the current rolling radius.

Just noticed you in france, so second hand tyres in the UK can be ignored! But yes, 13 for me, nice and progressive.
