Just been looking on ebay thinking about cheap(ish) non PAS steering systems, seems like ford units from sierra etc are getting more expensive by the day. Has anyone used a column from a 106 or a saxo?

Based on the pics they look like very simple and small units so would be ideal for a kit - can't see whether or not it has an IVA-compliant collapsing part though...

At roughly 15 quid they look pretty reasonable, and could save a bundle using the 106 stalks and avoid needing loads of switches on the dash.... What are the thoughts of the LCB massive?
