Cortina Upright Front Brakes

Rather ashamed to post this but ..

I'm going to replace the front discs and pads on my locost but from a quick flick through a few websites it seems I've got to mess about with bearings etc to replace the discs.

Is this correct? I have a bad history with bearings on cars (we won't go there in this post) LOL so I'm loathe to dismantle and potentially break something that currently works.

Any advice?

The disc is bolted to the rear of the hub, so you have to take off the hub to remove the disc.

However the bearings are taper bearings and are only tightened up to something like 25NM take out the split pin loosen the nut and they will come off. No big hammer needed.

It is a very easy job to do. Ive had one that has been a bit tight to get off, but with a hub puller it was no problem
