Sierra rear hub nuts

Anyone know what size socket is required for the rear hub nuts ?

41mm I believe.

I'd recommend getting an impact grade one- you'll need it!

Good luck getting it off. Remember the near-side has a left hand thread.

All the best,
James

Thanks, I`ll see if I can get one this week ,along with some big stilsons (its off the car)

Mark, rather than using stilsons with the attendant damage they do, make up a steel bar with holes to go over a couple of the wheel studs, bolt this in place & hold in a big vise while you swing on the hub nut. I made a bar in 50mm X 10mm, cutting a half moon out of the side of one end to give clearance for the socket. The one I have pictured was made for doing the pinion nut on a Land Rover but the idea is just the same, except the cut out will need to be bigger. HTH Cheers, Steve. Rescued attachment Stud bar.jpg

Oh hell, Can anyone tell me why when I send a nice neat 80kb jpg I get back an unwieldy 900 + kb bmp, is it my computer or some thing I`m doing. Ta, Steve.
