Anyone know what size socket is required for the rear hub nuts ?

41mm I believe.

I'd recommend getting an impact grade one- you'll need it!

Good luck getting it off. Remember the near-side has a left hand thread.

Mark, rather than using stilsons with the attendant damage they do, make up a steel bar with holes to go over a couple of the wheel studs, bolt this in place & hold in a big vise while you swing on the hub nut. I made a bar in 50mm X 10mm, cutting a half moon out of the side of one end to give clearance for the socket. The one I have pictured was made for doing the pinion nut on a Land Rover but the idea is just the same, except the cut out will need to be bigger. HTH Cheers, Steve.
