hi can anyone tell me the length that my propshaft (thanks Chris) has to be from a 1300 escort engine with type 9 5speed and a book chassis with a 1300 escort axle i need to order one before i can mount the engine and it would be useful to know and save time having to fit eveything just for the measurement. thanks

Barrie, the limiting factor for me was not the engine but the bell housing. I have positioned it as far back as possible without the starter or clutch leaver fouling the bulkhead.
From this fixed, central point I can position the engine mounts or the rear axle (and hence prop), without having to assemble the entire engine through to wheels transmission.
