Sorry, a bit off topic but here goes.!
I've got a two axle trailler with a load capacity of 3 tonnes. It has mini based hubs on at the moment. I want to increase ground clearance by
fitting bigger diameter wheels. Whats the best solution, since mini wheels are only small. Can I swop the hubs to a different type. What will fit ?
Help, any ideas ?
Heres Johnny
Try www.autow.co.uk they have the wheels and hubs at a good price and free p&p
Can you just get bigger wheels with the same PCD? If so you could fit those, and fit quite high profile tyres to increase the ground clearance.
Most trailers use mini wheels, but some use larger ones, im not sure if they fit the same hubs or different ones. May be worth asking at your local
trailer place?
{Beaten to it!!

Ford Transit (or other similare size vans) should yeild complete beam axles and even leaf springs that are ideal for home made trailers.
12" early metro wheels or some caravan wheels will fit mini centres.
cheers lads !. Have located landrover axles and wheels. Should be strong enough !!!!!!!!!
