as title says really? was just wondering as i think they look really good on westies etc, is it the offset that limits to 15's?
not 13's but i'm running donor 14's if that's any help.
iirc it's usually more to to with the disc size than the offset. i have small front discs and drum rears. i think the rear disc brake caliper
is the sticking point for going down to 13".
Hope that helps
Mike
I agree with Mike, think I've heard that disc size may be the limiting factor but if you can find some that fit then go for it, I think they look
fantastic, I'd definitely use them on mine if I were to start again

I,ve managed to get 13" minilights to fit my 4x4 rear calipers but had had to tickle them with an angle grinder... maybe not everyones choice
(thats the calipers not the wheels, also had to limit the return on the arm).
When I was playing around I also found a 1/2" wheel spacer allowed them to fit with no mods, I just did not the 1" extra width at the
rear.

only problem i found out was that with 13" wheels, the tire wall has to be above 70.
i myself prefer 13s but i am starting to prefer 14s as they enable the use of tyres that might be more available on the market and a combination of
195 and 60 or 65 tyres.
i wouldnt go above 14 though
14s are good but I have a feeling you might have a bit more trouble finding tyres for them, I may be wrong though...
Pete
i have 13s with 185/60/13 tyres on.
As mark says, some 13s do fit over sierra rear calipers, but you might have trouble finding out for sure which!
I'm running 13's on my MNR.
With an et35 rear offset it clears the rear calipers
oops! i meant pcd not offset, but never mind now! heh heh!
No difficulty finding tyres for a 14" wheel. I'm running the Toyo R888's in 185 / 60 R 14's. And very cheap too at £200 a set of
four! Mind you I don't think they'll be doing that deal again!

The bloke I know with the Fisher Fury used a drum braked Sierra back end which he then modified to accept dinky little disks and calipers. It all fits
under 13" revolutions no worries at all. Front end in his case was Escort MKII hubs. Hydraulic handbrake, so not exactly MOT friendly.
Anyway - 13" wheels, YKIMS etc...
mark at mac#1 is using 13 inch compomotive cxr's on their worx demo with sierra disc set up on rear, may be worth a phone call
exactly three nights ago i stumbled on someone's website (i'll try to recover the address) and he said the wheel diameter should remain as
close as 25" (dont really remember the exact number) so theoretically 13s would need 70s not 60s profile.
but of course every build is different...
i'm guiding myself on that though...

did he have any reasons for the 25" diameter? Dont believe everything you read on the internet...
I think the 25" is just to keep the standard speedo reading right. My 15" have the same rolling diameter with 195 50 15s.
I've fitted capri 13x7's over sierra rear calipers with a tweak to the handbrake lever arm on the caliper, planning on getting some
cxr's soon funds permitting. suitable tyre's are available in 13 and 14, moresp in 13 imho. 195 is normally max available for a 14" rim
whereas you can get a 205 for a 13" rim but imho unless you are running close to or over 190-200bhp you don't need more than 185/60's
in most cases
Ned.
