I've got a 3.38 ratio differential from a sierra diesel. I'm looking to uprate the internals with a Quaife LSD. My question is; what size is the diff classed as 6 1/2 inch (usually associated with 4x4's), 7 inch, 7 1/2 inch (usually associated with cosworth's) or 9 inch?

most likely a 7"(i had a 3.38 7" ), not heard of 6.5" myself, 7.5" is normally granada and 9" is a cosworth motorsport dif so def won't be one of them.

6.5" is a front diff from the 4x4 great if you want to go backwards

Definatly 7".

Agreed, i have a LSD and its a 7".
