Hi
Made a bit of a mistake. Ordered the wrong bearings (and paid for them in advanced - grrr).
I doubt it but MkII Escort wont work for Cortina will they?
This morning I ordered a set of front wheel bearings for a Cortina and I'm pretty sure the same part number was listed for the Escort.
Out of interest how much lighter is your wallet now?
I don't think they are the same - the application catalogue I have is not very specific about which models had which bearings, but unless you bought them for a twin cam excort they are almost certainly not the same as a cortina.
poo
I picked up my new Quinton Hazell wheel bearings today. They cost me £9.46 per side and fit both the Mk3 Cortina and The Mk2 Escort according to the
catalogue they showed me.
Part No QWB115C.
Yeah I think i need 114C for a Mark 2 'Tina. Problem is i am stabbing in the dark a touch as I didnt strip.
Mk1 and 2 Cortina used a MacPherson strut with the stub axle attached so if you have those they will have to be cut down, I think Strikers used cut down Escort ones. Mk3 onwards used the uprights as used on Locosts, more likely to be 3, 4 or 5.
Which means by some fluke igot the right ones? dw.ill look it up
Qh catalogue advise the following.
MK1 cortina QWB112c drum braked front
QWB114C disc braked front
Includes lotus and 15 gt
MK 2 cortina QWB114c (All of them)
MK3/4/5 Cortina and mk2 escort QWB115c Not RS 2000 though.
I got all my info on QH parts including the pdf downloads and others Mega info here
Ok, so what are these from?
Mk3 Tina?
looks like a tina to me. Could be doing with a clearer/more pics to be sure though
