NS Dev - 2/10/06 at 04:02 PM

anybody got a handy source for M18 x 1.5 half nuts (locknuts to suit the transit ball joints)

just sketched up some insitu adjusters for the post SVA bones on the 7 and for the new grasser, can't be arsed turning 6 nuts up when they are bound to be pence from somewhere!

Look for industrial pipe compression fitting stockists - Thorite being one. They stock them.

Have you tried Go fixings in hinckley?

I just made mine! a length of the same bar as the wishbone tube with 2 flats filed on seemed quicker and easier than trying to source them!

Would it be possible to use K nuts in place of nylocs? The squashed looking aero locking thingies, if I got the name wrong.

aye, but that's just it, time taken to make 6 of them, then put the flats on (really would need to be hex anyway to guarantee access where they will be fitted on the "back" of the wishbone) etc etc then getting them zinc plated and passivated etc etc etc..........

easier to buy em and save the hassle for the bits I can't buy!

If the ones Volvo has are from Lolocost you could cut them down and make 4 thin ones Part them off on the lathe.

I just turned down some full nuts as the half nuts seemed to be difficult to get.

With some carefull hacksawing you can get two for the price of one
