clockwork - 1/8/07 at 08:21 PM

Evening all. As above really
Ideally a 2.4. (RHD)
I've seen them new for £89 is this good?

P.S. Are there any lighter weight alternatives? Same questions apply.

The westfield std rack is 2.5 turns lock to lock and i was quoted £78 + £10 delivery about a week ago. It fitted straight on to a tiger avon. Althiugh i was lucky enough to get one off ebay even cheaper with alloy mounts etc and i think it's a well worth while upgrade

Hi the rally desighn one is a quick ratio 2.4 lock to lock.

The westfield item has 2.5 turns lock to lock because it has lock stops in there and NOT becuase it's a quick ratio.

You really do have to be carfull when buying racks from some places as to exactly what you are getting interm of lock to lock and speed of ratio.

Sorry procomp but i have to disagree with your comment about the westfield rack as i fitted one about a week ago and it is WITHOUT DOUBT a lot quicker than a standard escort quick rack. It now makes my cycle wings touch my headlight brackets were they never did with the other rack so if anything it turns more not less, and in one full rotation less.
