I have Wilwood powerlite calipers all round and was wondering what pads are recommended for fast road and track use ?

Are the Wilwood pads OK ?

I've been using the Wilwood Smart pads which seem quite suited to fast road work but I think they might have a problem with a spirited track day but ok for a novice like me. Mintex 1144 are the normal choice but at a price.

Poly E Pads, but they don't last forever!

Hi are these not the calipers where the only pads to fit are the willwood ones. In which case you will have to modify a set from another application to fit with a bit of machining if you want to use anything other than the willwood pads.

Not as yet found any of the willwood pads that will work well and last long enough. So modified others to fit.

mintex make pads for willwoods . i changed mine , massive differance but not cheap . rally design keep them in stock

Hi depend which willwood calipers you have though. Some have a bespoke pad. And the only available manufacturer of pads for the caliper are willwood.

as kosmo said he has got powerlite calipers rally design do a aftermarket pad for this caliper

I'm going to stick with Wilwood smart pads on the back and Wilwood poly's on the front and see how I get on, I dont think the rears need to be anything special as most of the braking is at the front end....

Best choice..Pagid RS4-2-1 Blacks or RS4-2 Blues for more track use.
Second choice would be Ferodo DS2500 or you could have a look at the Carbon Metallic range from Performance Friction which are also very good pads.
