Fitting a Momo Wheel to Sierra Colum
wjggregg - 29/3/08 at 12:30 PM

OK - Hope someone can help here........

Problem : I curchased a MOMO 26 Leather wheel from a Caterham. The wheel is pre-drilled with a 3x50mm PCD. I don't want to drill more holes in the wheel, and want it to fit the standard Sierra Column. Is there a suitable boss (without spending rediculous money on the weld on QR) that will fit the sierra column to a 3x50mm PCD?

Any help appreciated!

Hi

I cut the ali centre out of the standard sierra wheel, then welded a plate on top which I drilled to suit.

Then to make it look neat spun it up in a lathe for a more proffesional look.

Free if you have access to the tools.

Would put some extra bolts tru the weld on plate and the original boss if I were you. Don't want to be holding the steering wheel free in a high speed turn. Unless you're certain of your welding capacities.

Ok,

I have recently fitted a sparco wheel with the 3 hole pattern (guess its the same as yours)

I used a sierra 6 hole adaptor then a plate from spa design.

bit of a faff but like you I didnt want to carry on with weld on lugs and things
