Stick-on driving mirror?
David Jenkins - 17/4/10 at 02:42 PM

Now that I've been out in my car with its new windscreen I've found that the Halfraud's stick-on driver's mirror is a waste of space - all it does is vibrate on the end of its much-too-skinny stalk.

Can anyone suggest either:

1. A new stick-on internal mirror that's a lot more rigid, or
2. Recommend a common car that has a nice and rigid internal mirror that I'm likely to find in a half-decent scrapyard?

Ta.

I have the suction type on mine which I have on the screen seems to have very little vibration but does tend to need re-sticking every now and then.

I would like a stalk type so will watch this post with interest.

I gave up on the halfords wobbly mirror and went down to the scrappy. I think mine is off a citroen purely because it was easy to remove as it is a slide on fit to a ally plate which you stick to the screen.

Mirror and an inertia switch for a fiver.

Almost any modern car with a stick on mirror should do , just make sure you clean the base and the screen before sticking on .

I agree - but some cars have quite long stalks and others are quite short. I'm guessing that I need short!

I use a Halfords suction one, but stuck on with a bit of clear silcone sealant. It works fine with no virbation.
