peterriley2 - 6/10/06 at 08:02 AM

hello,
im looking at buying this welder for all my kitcar work (and anything else i may want to do) but i dont know a great deal about welders. i think this will be sufficient power, but will it have any problems (does anyone know the model??), and how much would you pay for it? its close so collection isnt a problem.

I used to have the 130A (Little brother) to this one. It was a splended little machine, although I had to replace the torch on it. If its close ask if you can see it working first. Contact him and tell him you only part with your cash once you have seen it working if you win, if he agrees - there you go!

Note - he says no bottle. Don't know if this is a concern or not.

I had a 130 and the only problem was the feed was a bit weak and unpredictable compared to the stuff I was using at work. Don't buy it if you can't see it welding.

I have a SIP 150. It's been back to the manuafacturer (at my cost) three times now with a faulty feed mechanism. I've finished all my chassis welding now, but if I were to start more welding again, I'd buy a new machine from another company.

I have one just like it , and though it isn't the last word in welding performance it does the job , my feed mechanism is somtimes temperamental

Alternatively I could sell you a brand new Draper one as I've recently become a dealer. Sorry I know I shouldn't advertise but I could do you a good deal
