I think i might have a go at making my pedals as I don't want to spend money on a pedal box when I have some suitable material knocking
about...
Does anyone have any advice/info on the leverage you need to generate for the brakes or a cable clutch?
What size master cylinders should I use for a bias bar system to m16 calipers up front and sierra discs at the back? (anyone know what sizes are
supplied with the st/luego type pedla box?)
Where do you get / what are the bushes that are used in the pivots of manufactured pedal boxes?
It'll be a floor mounted set, adapted for my chassis (I have additional rails running on the floor) and with a bias bar setup.

you need approx a 4 to 1 lever ratio for the brake pedal.
Dont underestimate the amount of cable travel for the clutch cable too!
I anaged to use the pedals from the donor granada which are top mounted.

ive got 5 to 1 on my clutch pedal, that is either right or maybe a little on the hard side, so maybe 6 to 1. that is only on a 1600 pinto though, cant
comment on any other clutch springs.
my clutch and throttle are bottom mounted, the brakes arent in yet but will be top mounted to make both a better sweep into the MC and easier heel to
toe stuff (brake lower than throttle so heel sits on brake well and toes on the loud one).
what sort of stuff do people mount their MC on, is it inch section with some 3mm plate? needs to be quite solid i guess...

I'm using an ST pedal box. Pedal length-to-pivot ratio is about 5 to 1. I have M16 calipers up front and Sierra/Scorpio calipers at the rear.
Front m/c is 0.625" and rear m/c is 0.75". I also have a hydraulic clutch using a Saab concentric slave cylinder and the clutch m/c is
0.700".
Brakes and clutch are bled and feel good, but have only been tested with the car rolling - engine is not yet fired up. The m/c sizes came recommended
by Ian Gray at Stuart Taylor, and they have fitted these sizes to many, many of their cars.

I did exactley that and suffered with very poor brakes for two years.
the brakes them selves were fine but I could not excert enough power to the pedal to get the brakes working, the clutch was and is fine. All was not
very good untill good friend "BOB" gave me a pair of princess 4 pot calipers, this made the brakes better but still not up to the standard I
wanted,
so earlier this year I moved the clevis pin up the peddle about 1/2 an inch,and has increased the leverage, this has transformed the braking

i got my brake pedal in today, along with the MC. nice feeling to be able to work all three pedals!
really is pisseasy making the pedals, but if you do it wrong all you've lost is a morning and a few inches of metal!

Spend a bit less time posting and a bit more searching, a lot of the above has been posted before.
I remember, in the dim and distant past, somebody giving the same advice, if not in quite the same words.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to vaguely recall someone suggesting in a thread about how long the build was taking, that if he did it
again, he wouldn't do his own brake pedals because they took so long for so little reward.
