Is anyone else out there building a W7DE version?
Sort of, I'm building the mcsorely 442 version http://www.mcsorley.net/locost I am hoping to use Darrens W7DE body kit when the time comes.
I think GTS W7DE body work is designed for the +4.
Isn't the +442 the same width as book at the front? And 2" taller, with a longer engine bay (+2?).
Standard nose supposed to fit +442, although a bit short (heightwise).
Im building a W7DE............ slowly looking at your pics im a bit further forward at the moment, although only just got the balance of parts for my kit this week
I'm building the standard sized Panther. Fatboy is building a W7DE, i think he was one of the first to get a body panel set.
Finally spoke to Darren this morning. It seems that only one complete panel set has been shipped that isn't on a "Dubai or Demo car".
An employee is apparently starting in January who is going to be making their panels in house and manning the phones.
I only wish he had started back in February!
Good to know there are a few more w7de owners out there though!
Has anyone got wheels on yet? I am not too happy about the clearance between the top wishbones and the shocks. Anyone else had this problem?
Thought they already had somebody doing grp in house?
This new guys called Scot. Thought all there existing work is farmed out? At least that is what Darrens excuse for the bodywork being late was.
Only the Panther is sub contracted out
I think you'll find that from now on none of it is being subbed out.
I believe Scott was part time and from Jan is going full time at GTS.
Rumor has it that they are going to employ admin staff to man phones ect.
There is a place up in Northamptonshire called......."Nobottle"
..and a place in Cheshire called.... 'chickenlivered'
Then a place down here called Gweek but the w is silent or so i was told
Twat
By the way you do pronounce the "w" in that.
What is that noise the Stukas make when they plunge to earth?
is that before they crash or after???
Would think it was just as scary flying a Stuka as being on the receiving end of one...slow coming back up from such a damn great fall
