just a quick one lads. The inner sleeve of the polybush should the ends sit flush in the bush????

I've just cracked a beer and i'm in for the long haul...
mine stick out a couple of mm,when they where flush, the sides of the bracket 'nipped' the bushes and made them tight.
(stands back and waits to be shot down!)

i think everyone agrees that polybushes are not meant to deform, the crush tube should be gripped tight and the bush pivots on it.
Where the disagreements arose, was what length crush tube was best. I believe it depends on the shore rating of the bush. Some argued that the crush
tube should be fractionally longer, to leave the bush completely free. Some said it should be the same length, and the bush lightly pinched but still
free to move (to prevent slop, apparently) and still others argued that even if the crush tube was ever so slightly shorter, it could be gripped up
tight anyway and the bush itself would be a little more squeezed.
My own take, its all nonsense 
Pick your favourite reasoning and do it that way, the car wont fall apart cos of it. 
Its alright mark, the old arguments were between syd, rorty and doz, theres only syd left now so an arguement is less likely!

If you buy a set of polybushes for a landrover the bush sits flush with the tube.
Polybushes are generally much harder in use than rubber so you should not need to squeeze them or you may just end up overloading the mounts by
restricting the flex even more.
On a landrover a polybush also pivots on the cush tube, you even get molyslip grease to ensure this happens. The standard rubber item is a sleeved
bonded bush so you effectively twist the rubber so only tighten when the suspension has settled.

can of worms or not tell all as they are soon on the list to make buy. 
In the real world the tube should be as short as possible while still leaving the bush free to pivot, as is my understanding. If the tube is too short and the bush is tight there is a very real risk you'll rip the bracket off the chassis.
I realise everyone is entitled to an opinion and there appear to be several.
Someone has probably said this before, but wouldn't the easiest option be to ask the supplier/manufacturer and get the definative answer.

it just makes it that little bit quicker for some people doing it this way for now i can attach everything first thing tomorrow morning instead of
waiting till tomorrow to speak to the supplier i also find it good to see other peoples opinions who may have had the same worries i have
While we're on the topic where's the best place to buy? I'm after some for standard wishbones. Cheapest and Best if possible.
I've only seen standard size ones on MNR's site if you mean to replace the Triumph type bushes.
I bought enough eye tubes, crush tubes, & poly bushes, plus some spares, from Lolocost.
Then, measuring them carefully I tried to arrange them into sets.
I found I had 32 sets of 1

Just done my GTS polys.
I superglued the polybush into the wishbone to 'discourage' it from spinning in the bone.
Packed the poluybush with moly grease and inserted the crush tube.
The crush tube sticks ever so slightly out of each end of the bush.
When tightened the crush tube is held solid in the bracket and the bush spins on the crush tube.
