Looking good!
Where's that aeroscreen from - very nice!
Tidy build , looking good.
Looks too shiny for a real mechanics garage, lucky to see the floor in mine.
Looking really good & what a good colour .
Thanks for the kind words.
I'm glad you liked it.
StevieB:
The aeroscreen is from Darren at GTS.
Johnmor:
I've just moved into this garage so I haven't had the time to mess it up yet!
You should have seen my old place...what a mess!

Looking good
Keep up the good work!
Hoping to get my engine in tomorrow morning.

I got bored doing all the small bits that nobody can see.
So I started making the interior. Now it at least looks like there is happening something!

Nice job - well done ! and good to see a positive post in here
2 questions -
does the oil filler cap fit under the bonnet without shortening ?
Have you used the original exhaust minifold ?

That's what I thought, but one of his pics shows it at the front with the engine in - maybe an oops! moment ?
Not exactly a "oops!" moment. I knew that the filler cap would cause a problem. So I sketched a lower version of the filler cap that my
brother fabricated. Almost a whole centimeter to spare! Nothing fancy, just a lower version.
To answer the question - no the original filler cap didn't fit under the bonnet without mods.
I planned to use the original manifold but it had to many exaust recirculation holes to block. So I visited the local scrapyard and I found that the
Granada (MKII?) had a much more compact manifold that also didn't have recirculation holes in it.
I know this isn't the best manifold to be found but I'll make a proper exaust when the car has been on the road for a while. First on the
upgrade list is a rebuilt engine to which I'm going to fit a very nice ported head that I stumbled across.

Thanks. Wish I had a brother
Update!
Electrics are done. Some small tweeks has to be done, but everything that's supposed to work works! I'm very pleased since I've never
touched anything electrical in a car before.
First start is also done. And it actually started on the first attempt.
And both the dizzy with its amp and the twin Weber 40:s was set up based on advise found here on Locostbuilders! Thanks!
The picture shows the instrumentation. Just finished last weekend.

And the build continues!

That looks like a really nice built car.
Thanks!
This past weekend I torqued everything up, filled and bled the braking system and actually drove the car out of the garage! I think I drove for about
ten minutes in the courtyard in front of the garage!
Then I ran out of petrol!
I actually built a car and it drives to!
What a fantastic feeling!

I love the way the aeroscreen is filled in and utilised for gauges - nice touch. Other side would make a good place to store goggles / glasses etc.
Finally it's finished!!!
Registration and Swedish "SVA" are done and now I'm just waiting for the numberplates to arrive.

Congratulations! Great feeling isnt it?!
Nice car!
Can you check would it be possible to move exhaust to left side? (with extended piping) There's some regulation in Croatia, that exhaust must not
be on the right.
Easiest is to chose engine with exhaust on the desired side . eg Pintos have it on the right, looking from driver, others are on the left.
As Macbeast says maybe you should go for a Zetec instead of the Pinto.
Or you can do as Mickebo has done and have the exhaust at the back. Have a look at his car here:

Hoppas vi träffas med bilar på Knutstorp 5-6/7
where did you get that airbox from?
thanks
Hi Damien,
Sorry about the late reply.
Glad you liked the airbox. I made it myself. Bottom half made of aluminium that has been folded and welded into a "box" and the lid is made
of carbon fibre.
I can't find any good pictures of the separate parts but here's a picture from a testassembly.
