I just bought an ultima cossy for £200 80k miles on it. Im Stripping it down now for the engine eec-v and engine bay loom although the wiring loom is prone to heat damage. on these. Now I have a nightmare with the seperate PATS module.

marcjagman - 25/8/10 at 08:46 PM

So how much you looking for then?

FlansS14 - 26/8/10 at 07:53 PM

Is this not the worse advert EVER!

"yes you can buy the car but I'm not gonna give you a price"

With sales techniques like that you should get ur ass on Dragons Den!!

Adding petrol to this fire Colt Mivec messed me about so so much with the sale of one of my cars, money and time wasted - left me very bitter!

It would seem that Colt_Mivec seems to miss both sides of the advertisement process....

Sorry for dragging that up Colt Mivec - never did receive an apology from you!

marcjagman - 30/8/10 at 08:41 PM

So is this car still for sale or what? That engine would look ever so nice under the bonnet of my Sierra who I have christened Sally.

colt_mivec - 6/9/10 at 06:55 PM

Still for sale

Any takers? Offers welcome and ill make a site donation

marcjagman - 6/12/10 at 05:10 PM

Just bought one on ebay with T+T for £360. Will take for £150 as a spares car though?

colt_mivec - 7/12/10 at 02:59 PM

I can get £150 per ton for scrap so thats where its going

owelly - 7/12/10 at 04:31 PM

£150 per tonnes of clean scrap. That's scrap metal, not all the non-scrap that is attached to the metal! If you're getting £150 for a scrap car, get on to ebay, buy up all the non-runners and sell them to your scrappy! You can be retired by Christmas!
Good luck.

marcjagman - 7/12/10 at 05:12 PM

Weighs 1.4 ton so thats £210. I'll take it for that.

colt_mivec - 17/12/10 at 01:51 PM

We own a fabrication shop so get a better price for scrap than the man of the street due to the volume we get in waste from sheet metal

£400-£500

Irony - 17/12/10 at 04:00 PM

I can't believe this car has not sold. If I had the slightest reason to buy it I would but I don't. If I had the time to strip it and sell it I would. If I haven't spent ££££ on my v8 I would have bought it and bunged it in the kitcar. Why don't people want it?

Probably because, like you, they don't have the slightest reason to buy it!

and £500 is alot of money for a car with no t&t.

colt_mivec - 21/12/10 at 02:22 PM

If i was to pull the engine, wiring loom, gearbox and diff out it would be worth easily £500 and £100 for the rest in scrap

The wheels have good bridgestone potenza tyres all round which would be ideal for a kit car etc.

Its just sat in the yard here waiting for a slack moment to weigh it in or sell it...Its stood since Feb but has been ran around the village to keep it all free every week

prawnabie - 21/12/10 at 03:07 PM

Then you would be selling it for a different purpose, a car that has to be stripped or is to be used as a barge is worth far less the same car in ready to fit donor parts.

I would weigh it in as no one has come forward so far for it.

I want it, and made an offer but he just wants too much.

colt_mivec - 21/12/10 at 07:01 PM

It'll go on Ebay and if nobody wants it then scrap

colt_mivec - 21/12/10 at 07:01 PM

Only in Scunthorpe aswell so not far away if you wanted to view it and i did say £400-£500 would buy it

It's pretty funny, considering a mate of mine recently bought a Scorpio 2.9 with tax and test for £150.
