FS: Single-Seater Chassis & Bodywork

SINGLE SEATER

Built by Super-Speeds in India for the Formula Rolon Chevrolet series. I understand that the chassis and bodywork were taken to the UK for presentation at a motorsport event and remained here. I bought it on a whim as I thought it might come in handy for my reverse-trike project. I have since got another single-seater which will be used for the project, so this one is for sale!

The chassis is unused. I cut a couple of tubes off at the back whilst trying to decide how various engines would sit in it. It'll take 15 mins with a welder to put some tubes back in should you wish. Other than that, it's as original.

It has a wide cockpit... I can get in and out comfortably and I'm a fat b****** (although this is currently being addressed... again!). I actually think it would be a good candidate for a single-seater road going project due to it's slightly larger size.

It comes with a front crash-box and anti-roll bar (not pictured).

I don't have the original suspension for it, so a bespoke set-up is required. I was going to keep it 'locost' by just welding on traditional wishbone bracketry and keeping it simple.

Most of the bodywork is there. The only bits missing are the two closing panels for the rear of the side-pods. I think it looks fine without them. The bodywork has been used and could do with a re-furb, but it is structurally sound with no major cracks or bashes.

£650

If you're quick, I can deliver the chassis / bodywork to the Nottingham or Preston areas this Friday for now't!

Sorry for the poor photos... bright sunshine and a phone camera don't mix well! The body panels are canary yellow!

Scootz, did you post a topic earlier selling a BEC rear set-up that got deleted? or am I going completely insane?

Anyway interesting bit of kit, wish i had somewhere to put it.......

any pictures of the body on the chassis or of a finished one?

If I had the money I'd bite your arm off! That looks awesome. And it's just what I'm after. House purchase has buggered things up for the short term.

If you don't sell it please keep me in mind and I'll scrape the money together

Thanks
Dan

Sorry guys... I've been away from the computer and have just returned to an avalanche of U2U's!

By sheer chance I had a U2U from Denis (Kipper) waiting for me just after I'd hit the 'post' button on this thread asking if I would consider selling the Rolon kit. I then pointed him in the direction of this thread.

He was also the first to drop me another U2U stating a definite intent to buy.

So thanks for all the interest, but as it stands the kit is sold to Denis.

I'll advise all interested parties if the sale falls through in order of those who expressed interest.

Thanks again.

Hi Doctor D.

I did indeed but it was sold within minutes, so I deleted it.

Sorry for not dropping you a U2U to let you know it was sold... I completely forgot!

No worries mate, I more relieved that I didn't imagine it as i thought I was losing my mind.

All of this does beg the question...... what else have you got for sale?

The only things that I've still to shift are:

2 x new 6" x 13" Mini Ultralite wheels in a Ford fitment (108PCD / ET10).
2 x new 6" x 13" Mini Ultralite wheels in a Mini firment (101.6 PCD / ET10).
Reasonably high-spec C20XE Engine, Clutch and Flywheel.
A pair of AVO coilovers.
And possibly a single-seater steering rack.
