FS: Boxed as new Nokia N95
McLannahan - 1/3/08 at 08:41 PM

My Nokia N95 is shortly to go on EGay but I thought I'd mention it here first!

Below is the advert. It'll start selling on EGay tomorrow at 7pm.

Advert is pasted in below!

Nokia N95 Boxed and in SUPERB condition!

I bought an N95 back in September and had to send the phone away from repair in January. Carphone Warehouse then LOST my phone. I gave up waiting for the phone to show up and bought myself a Nokia 6300. But...Carphone Warehouse decided it was embarrassing enough for them and have given me another N95 today. The plastic is still on the screen, it has the latest firmware (v20) and it is in unused condition. There's not a SINGLE mark on it - it's in mint condition and as new.

The phone comes fully boxed complete with all manuals and accessories as it would it purchased new.

This particular model is available sim free for £330 from play.com and other sites but can be unlocked through Orange for £20. The phone may well be unlocked – I have no other brand sim to try in it but assume it’s still locked to Orange like the original one was I bought.

This listing comes with:

Nokia N95 Mobile phone - Completely un-used and unbranded.
Nokia N95 Manual
Nokia N95 Quickstart guide
Screen Protector - Fitted on phone
Charger ( has been used )
Tv out Cables (New)
Transfer cable/Usb Cable (New)
Handsfree Kit/ Headphones with inline remote (New - Unused)
Unused new battery
Original Box
I will do my best to find the Nokia software CD but it's easier to say it's not supplied just in case I can't find it!

Please remember this phone has had NO USE AT ALL. There are NO marks on it at all. I picked it up from CWH today and it went straight back into its box.

NO time wasters please.
Serious bidders ONLY.
I accept PAYPAL only
and will only ship to within the United Kingdom - NO international bidders.

Thanks for looking.
Happy bidding and good luck.
Personal collection is fine - I'm near Stonehenge in Wiltshire.

Whipster - Indeed it is. It does everything really.

GPS, WiFi, 5 MP camera, Built in MP3/Media player, Video out, remote control (wired)...It does everything and well too.

There's loads of web-fights amongst geeky types with the N95 v iPhone. Even in an unbiased discussion the N95 wins hands down. Looks wise the iPhone but features...N95 has it beat well and truly!

You could use your Sim in the phone but the phone would need to be unlocked. This is done quite easily for about £20 these days. I can apply to Orange to get it unlocked myself I think? Not sure of cost but unlikely to be more than £20?

You don't need to get a replacement - download it from Nokia free of charge and it'd be the most recent version, which my CD isn't!

Hi, if you got it from CPW then it should be sim free...the box doesnt look to have any orange branding on it either.

Hope that helps

McLannahan - 1/3/08 at 09:30 PM

Thanks Tim - It may well be. There's a small orange label on the box - That's it. This new one has come without Orange software installed (version 20) so it "could be". It's not branded Orange on the handset at all.

I've no easy way of testing in annoyingly as we've only Orange sim cards in the house!

er just folk keep bidding as I need to find out how these sim card contracts work cos I'm like pay as you go and I suspect I really need a proper deal with a web phone. God I hate all this complicated modern stuff, certainly looks good.

Whipster pay as you go will go straight in there. You get web minutes with payg.

As for the simlock. Im sure it wont be locked. If its a sim free contract phone theyr not usually locked just branded.

McLannahan - 2/3/08 at 07:38 PM

Thanks Dan - I'll try and borrow a Sim to test it!

It's on EGay now if anyone's interested?
