FS 1992 Mini
I love speed :-P - 31/3/08 at 10:26 AM

Not taxed but MOT'd until March 09 with 83999 miles on the clock.

The car was completely rebuilt about 2000 miles ago together with the engine which was rebuilt and re-bored to 1340 c.c.

It has a new cam, new valves and a K&N air filter. We have been told that on a recent rolling road test the engine made 89 horse power.

It has a new sub frame.

There is no rust anywhere on the chassis and shell.

It has many expensive extras:-

1. Stainless steel rocker cover.
2. Blue silicon water hoses.
3. Stainless steel exhaust.
4. Front GAZ adjustable shock absorbers
5. AP racing front callipers.
6. Slotted disks with greenstuff pads.
7. Adjustable front tie bars.
8. Mountney steering wheel.
9. New Decals ready to be put on.
10. Minilite style wheels and new tyres all round.
11. New fuel tank and battery.
12. Plus too many to itemise.

Now for the Bad points:-

1. Recently resprayed, but finish not brilliant.
2. Crack in windscreen.
3. Needs carpets.
4. Front steering rack gaiters need attention.
5. New dashboard fitted but some dials missing.

All for £1,750

Thanks

I don't like to be picky (well, I do sometimes ) but the "rust free" shell has what looks suspiciously like rust on the seam in the second picture.

BTW, what happened to the screen? It looks like it's popping out

In the second picture it looks like rust but isnt, something else was in the car that rusted and left a rust mark, but no rust on the seam.

It does look good for a 1992 Italian job as they were realy good at rusting!
Thats not real Mini rust on that one. This is what real Mini rust looks like

The screen isnt pooping out, it just the way I took the photo.

are minis really worth that much?!?!?!!

blimey you can get a volvo 850 estate for same money

You can get a good jag xj40 for that money
Nice car thought

I never paid that much for my 850. Mini's are quite a collectors car (ususally wanted by folk who have never driven one, rather like v-dubs) and most old ones rusted to nothing (rather like V-dubs). There was a tidy 90's Mini in a show room in Aberdeen for 5k and it sold!

But then you end up with a lumbering barge instead of an iconic British car...

The window will pop out if you don't put the locking strip in , is that how the screen broke?

The marks on the seams are are clips for the seam covers.

As you have said the paint job not is to hot, nice run

Tidy for a 16 year old Mini

I didn't do the poor paint job or the screen, in fact I havn't done anything to the car, I had it to put a motorbike engine in the back but thats not going to happen any more. So I don't no how the previous owner broke the screen.

I think I have a bag somewhere with the seam covers in.
