£25. I can check inlet/outlet sizes if you like?

blakep82 - 13/11/08 at 10:41 PM

£25 sounds good please check the inlet and outlet though, I've also just bought a 1998 R1 can off ebay, so looking for similar pipe size to that i guess. can't remember what size pipes minis had

R1minimagic - 13/11/08 at 10:42 PM

I think they are quite oversized on the inlet/outlet as they are probably off a larger engine. I have an S1 elise and the cat looks identical. Will sort tommorow!

nice one will measure the original pipes off the vauxhall exhaust in a bit.

just thinking though, don't bikes have to have cats?

R1minimagic - 13/11/08 at 10:48 PM

Newer bikes do yes but they are very small so probably not as efficient for emissions reduction.

And btw - probably extremely expensive!!!

ah, just wondered

just checked, and its a 2" pipe on the original exhaust, so i'll maybe look at making it a little bigger diameter, but 2" (to 2.5"?) is good i think

R1minimagic - 16/11/08 at 06:46 PM

Just checked and it is 2.25" tapering down to 1 7/8".

blakep82 - 16/11/08 at 07:03 PM

that'll do! 2.25" should be good enough for a 2.0 shouldn't it?

R1minimagic - 16/11/08 at 07:05 PM

Yes unless it has 400hp!

blakep82 - 16/11/08 at 07:10 PM

ooooh, 399hp, so we're just inside it

i wish... will be about 150 maybe
