saxo vtr/s plenty of cheap ones around
Have you tried auto trader? get an old golf or escort and race prep that.
ill have a look later on and see whats about
shame as ive not long scrapped a saxo vtr
how about a 16v Clio on pistonheads.com for £500 seems cheep with the stuff done and still taxed and MoT'ed
pistonhead clio.
saxo, 106, fiesta all good to get on track ive got a 2litre fiesta and when stripped goes well on track. if you are looking as a purly track car worth
buying something where someone else has spent all the money on suspension, brakes, seats ect as thats where the cost is
If you want a proper track car for that money, cant beat an MOT failed jag. Its RWD (so a proper car ) and for £500 you could get a nice XJS or XJ6, strip out the interior to pay for any mods you want to make. Early ones are also really easy to work on

metro gti/a's go well on a track..
Iv just sold a 106 roland garros cheap. taht would have been perfect for a track car went like a beast and handled well!!
You would have made your money back on the interior aswell!!
Thing to watch on metro's is terminal rust. They do go well though. Rover 200 is another possible for not much cash.
Talon fit 1.8 VVC engines in them, at which point they really fly.

thats a good idea
i had an mg zr which handled brilliantly
the only downside was the brakes
thank you
