wtd: swap set of 13" for 14" or 15"
bi22le - 29/11/09 at 11:47 PM

hi all. Im possibly getting a raw striker after christmas. I have a set of track day wheels with good rubber left. They are team dynamics 1.2 with 888s on. Wider set on the back. Rims in perfect condition.
They dont fit a striker which uses 14" so i was hoping some one was doing the opposite and needing 13"!
I was under the impression that 13" is more desirable so hopefully someone is up for swaps. Ideally the tire and wheel model are the same as mine including life left. Im not looking to sell them at the mo im just testing the water. U2U me if this is of interest.
Thanks.

Toyo only do 185/60/14 R888 tyres so this may be a consideration you need to take into account if making a compromise on wheel or tyre. Maybe consider 15's too??

ah ok. Yeah 185 60 seem strange. 15 would be fine aswell. I would consider other road cut slicks. Problem being is i like the 888. Still im open to negotiation though.

Why cant you use 13" wheels on a Striker providing the offset is right? My son has a Striker and uses 15" with road tyres and 13" with slicks for trackdays with no problems.

you need to have different lower wish bones to run a 13" set up. I have done some further digging and now would like some 15". So anyone that would like to swap their 15" with good life 888 on for a set of 13" in very good condition please u2u me. Ill put photos up of my offerings tonight when i get in!

Obviously you want a swap, but I'd be interested in buying them if they clear the handbrake on an MK Indy

Ahh yes the do fit with some adjustment

Ok more info on my wheels. I have 2 X 185 and 2 X 205. Front and rears obviously. They have approx 5mm of tread left or 3mm to low tread markers. The rims are spotless. I have a pic attached plus there is a pic in my profile. I dont know the offset or PCD. There is nothing on the back of the rim. They fit Sierra hubs. Im also told that they will then fit any 4 stud wheel. If im wrong please correct me! Rescued attachment wheel small.JPG

Can you please place a straight edge acorss the inner rim and measure down to the hub mounting face? This will give the backspace dimension and I can work out the offset from that

Thanks

John
