Wtd: Drill stand to make a pillar drill
balidey - 13/1/10 at 10:52 AM

I'm looking for a drill stand, the type of thing that converts a normal drill into a pillar drill.
Anyone got one going spare? Preferably in the Spalding / Peterborough / Boston / Stamford type area so I can collect to keep costs down.
I don't want a pillar drill as I am limited by space and one of these old drill stands would be fine for the few little jobs I have lined up.

I bet there must be hundreds of these gathering dust and rust at the back of sheds and garages. Must be cheap please.

18.35 inc postage though.
I was going to try local Tool place this weekend but thought there must be loads of used ones about.

I have a spare one, but I may be too far away for you, and it'd be an awkward sod to post.

I do have access to a proper pillar drill (and milling machine too) but not in my garage. My garage bench has limited room, but over the next week or two I need to do some drilling but its from home, not where my pillar drill is, so thats why I am only looking for one of these.

Looks like I may well just get to my local Merchant, unless someone else comes up trumps.

Looks like I've got one sorted now.
