Bit of a weird one this, but here goes.
I'm looking for the following parts for my mother she is wanting to add power steering to her 1975 cortina 1.6, she is now nearly 70yrs old and
owned this car from new 1975 but she is getting weak and needs p.a.s to carry on driving it so, im looking for the following parts if anyone has
them..
PAS pump and bracket
PAS pipes
Twin V crank pulley
Twin V water pump & pulley
Twin V alternator
Cartina power rack
All the above parts have to be from 1.6, 2.0 pinto type blocks ie early sierra's
Have a dig about guys and see if you can help my old mum out..

Wouldn't it be a lot eaier to fit an electronic power steering kit from (I think) a corsa? Should be easier to install and allow a wider range of
parts to be used.
Or, a bigger steering wheel will make it easier to drive in the short term.
a bigger wheel have you seen the size of the Cortina one, itslike a bus wheel lol. I would consider the electric kit and also renew all ball joints as this was a common problem on Cortinas they do go really stiff so not an MOT failure but not as they should be , I remember this from owning one in the 80's

To answer your questions guys..
I got a corsa B epas pump and ecu and found out the Cortina has a welded under dash and nowhere at all to fit the pump under the dash, between the
welded in dash frame and pedal box their is not enough room, and me mother wont let me mod it to fit in..
Ive sourced a cortina rack itself i think so what i now need is the following...
a, double V pinto crank pulley
b, double V alternator and bracket
c, double V water pump/pulley
d, P,a,s pump and bracket pinto
e, pipes etc...
i would'nt care ive thrown stuff like this out over the years when playing with mk2 escorts and pinto power and stuff...
