CPC or farnels, think even Maplins may sell it, if you struggle I can send you a can down. However I would just use aftershave for that job.

Wouldn't surgical spirit do? Well cheap.

Andybarbet - 5/12/10 at 03:44 PM

We use acetone at work to clean our circuit boards before we conformal coat them so nail varnish remover should be fine

Do you have some old cd cleaner spray kicking around - thats the same stuff

You used to be able to buy alchohol (no, not drinkable) from chemists. I've got a BIG bottle I've had for about 15 years and it gets used for any cleaning job. Ecellent for what you need.

Try your local chemist. They usually sell 500ml bottles of the stuff!

I got mine from them, just talk sensible, and have a very celar idea of what you are going to do with it.
They quizzed me, but could explain it all.

Basically the Q's are to cover their As**s etc.

Same reason you cant buy a knife or lots of tins of glue etc etc.
