Hi all.
Bit of a long shot I know but, since I thought it would be easy peasy to find a rotten cheepo MG midget/Sprite to use as a donner for the Westfield
XI, and it hasn't been...where have all the knacker MG's gone from my youth? And some parts of the build need altering by Westfield
themselves, sooooo can anyone help me clear the dusty corners of their Garage/Shed/Kitchen
I'm after from either a Oct 1966 to Sept 1974 Chrome bumber 1275cc MG midget or Austin Healy Sprite...
Rear Axle, Lower Stearing Column (actualy I need the whole stearing column but it's the bottom bit I need altering by Westfield), Propshaft,
stearing rack.
Oh and anyone with a 1275 Series A engine...heaverly tuned....for the price of a couple of farthings Or even suggest something the same physical
size but with more va va vroom, and fit's a type 9 gearbox, a Rover V8 don't look to fit well I think I can make it fit but no where for
the second exhaust pipe to go.
I'll be heading up to Birmingham in a couple of weeks (from Essex) so I could always pick up and pay en route.
Thanks in advance.
Bill

My Pal Cameron has loads of Midget stuff, havingf raced them for years. I think he is based in the west country.
You can get hold of him via his ebay account:

and tell him Al from Edinburgh gave you his details. He's a great guy, and will be able to provide all the bits you need, I'm sure.

I have an axle and uprights, as well as a set of steel wheels and a few other bots and bobs.
My project was a 1963 midget - the axle is a 4 stud item so I don't know if it's from a later car or was original and the wire wheel axle
was a retro fit.
Drop me a line if you're interested - axle and uprights are in my father in laws garage at the moment otherwise I'd get some pics up for
you.
Thanks for the replies all.
I'll U2U people when I'm online later, when I'm not dinning on the Mrs latest burnt offerings I mean cordonbleu delights
I also have a complete axle that's not currently being used, as well as a set of front uprights. The fronts aren't in brilliant condition, but might save you some on the exchange price for a new set.
