Kit Car collection

Hi can anybody help me I need a kit collected from Birmingham and delivered to Aylesbury.

I say kit rather than kit car as its a new kit still in bits not a complete rolling kit car

Been told chassis will fit a Luton or long wheel base 'sprinter (13ft)

kit ready for collection end Jan

If you don't get any luck from people here - try shiply.com - it gets quotes from loads of man-with-van types, moved several cars with no issues with them...

Also, if it's a completely unstarted kit, you can get away with a standard transit with a roofrack to hold the chassis. just tie it down well

Depends if there's an engine etc. but large estate with roof rack. Chassis on roof, bodywork in the car.

I would just hire a van for the day, there and back in no time.

I would'nt trust anyone other than the seller to deliver it, hire a van and collect it yourself

borrowed my dad's LWB transit (old 90's one) to get mine
wasn't quite sure if it would fit or not so I took out the passenger seats - In the end it turned out I didn't need to, but I didn't want to risk it when I had an 800 mile round trip !

with the front seats out I got the nose of the chassis right into the passenger footwell and had loads of room at the back for all the bits and bobs



if you can't borrow one then a days hire doesn't cost that much...


just remember and take some padding (old rug / carpet / bubble wrap...) and some straps to tie it all down

It's only about 130miles, hire a van.

As a second thought, it's probably worth the time/cash of a van hire to avoid hassle later if your appointed collection monkey misses a bit or the person selling you the kit forgets to give him an important bit.

Certainly when I picked my kit up from MK, I had to remind them I needed a roll bar and a few other little bits.

Hire a van and take a mate with you

Double check that everything will be available for pick-up before you go, Nowt worse than going there all excited and ending up with only half the kit

As said, hire a van. I'll happily pop over and help you load up this end.
