Ford Throttle Cable
Xflow Driver - 14/5/05 at 09:19 PM

I am looking for this Ford throttle cable, it has 92060 on it and my local German Ford garage think it may have had the part No 6605418.

Here are a couple more pics which may help.

would you not be just as well (seeing as you're getting desperate ) to braze or solder a new nipple on?

I have asked for advice at my local motor bike shop and pedal bike shop, both think it is not a good idea (apart from a short term fix to get you home) to fix the cable, I have very little fettling time left spare before going to Le Mans in a few weeks, so I would like to use a replacement that I know works and will last a few years. It takes me about ten hours driving to get to Le Mans so I would like it to be fairly reliable.

my suggestion then, would be ebay.

usually (at least, on ebay uk) there's a good deal of throttle cables.

There used to be a company called Speedy Cables, I think they are something to do with GreenGauges ? They would make a cable to your pattern/design fairly quickly. They serviced and recalibrated a speedo a few years ago it was returned in about 2 days from posting. Failing that it may be worth checking out Classic Ford magazine small ads?
