Wanted, Dead or Alive: Zetec 1.6/1.8 Flywheel
MattCraneCustoms - 10/10/06 at 06:39 PM

Hi All, just thought I'd see if anyone has a flywheel gathering dust in their garage. Its for a 99 Blacktop 2.0l Zetec for a type 9 Gbox installation, South Leics. Area.

Cheers
Matt

If you can't get hold of one, and can be bothered to fit another trigger wheel on the front pulley, a CVH flywheel fits and is a lot lighter than the Zetec one.

lol God No don' t want that weirdo, the flywheel would do cheers . . . .

Edit: Whoops this looks like it could be a reply to either of those posts . . . It was meant for donuts!!! Would a new trigger wheel be difficult to fit? I guess that from what you've said the zetecs' all have one fitted as standard? Don't know havent taken mine off yet.
Regards
Matt

Dunnell do an exchange kit for not too much dough that includes a clutch suitable for Type 9, spigot bearing etc

The Zetec has the trigger on the flywheel.

The CVH flywheel doesn't have one.

I'm using the CVH flywheel as my Zetec came without one, and I have a new clutch kit that will fit straight onto the CVH.

Fitting the trigger wheel should be fairly easy.

Probably easier to get a Zetec flywheel though.

I have a spare 1.8 flywheel. Cost me £10 from the yard but with postage on top thats not much of a bargain. One local scrappy will sell bits but the others won't even take off a manifold. Yours for 10+pp.
