Can anyone help with a short length 300-400mm of 114.3mm X 5mm steel tube can only by it locally in a 7.5metre length for £115!!!

where did you try?
Milford steel can be difficult to deal with but they did let me look through their offcuts bin one time.
think of all the washers you could cut from that, box them and then sell on for a profit!
Haven't try milford steel as they can't even get 25 x 1.5 mm box!!!
Rang dyfed steel but can only buy in 7.5 m lengths.
Is there a Metal Supermarket near you ?
My local one will buy a full length of something if they haven't any in stock, then sell you as much (or as little) as you want. They add their
mark-up obviously, but worth it if you only need small lengths.
