Desparately needed for my 1995 RR-S Fireblade engine - Speedo sensor and Temparature Gauge sender.
Please help if you can.
Thanks Barry
Barry, is the temp sender not already fitted at the top of the thermostat housing ?
just a thought
regards Roger
Hi Roger
The one thats fitted appears to be faulty. When I earth the lead to it the temp gauge goes to hot, but when connected to the sensor nothing.
Cheers
Barry
Before you replace it, try testing it with a multimeter, its possible that you could have an airlock under the sensor. They can be a right pain to
remove, mine snapped clean off.
The sensor should be at defined resistances at set temp's, i'll dig out the book and post the values later.
Regards Roger
Tried testing the sensor in hot water with a multi-meter and it appears to work progressively. As the sensor did not come with the engine the only
thing I can think of is that it is an incorrect one and that it it is outside the operating values of the gauge.
Barry
P.S. I will try fitting it with coolant present to try and avoid an airlock
