I have just seen there is a lot of cheep welding gear at Lidl's starting on the 2nd January

ie Welding head shield's £9.77
welding mig wire 5kg o.8 £16.65
just to name some

good find, i wonder if thoses Welding Gauntlets are any good, seeing that i am going to try a do a mini.

some little gas bottles would have been nice... still, stock up and save money on some wire, leaves more to spend on gas

got my wire at B&Q £15.60 for0.8mm and 2 replacement torch shrouds £3.12 and 5 new sopper tips £3.12 not bad eh!

hi, do you know if you need to be invete to it or can you just turn up and buy stuff, and pay no vat? as well is there certian times?

Yes i'm affraid it's invitation only, last time i was there they were turning people away without an invitation.
You could always see if you can blagg your way in with a total stranger on the day.
The times are 10:00 to 16:00 on both days

Mansfield Machine Mart vat free days are Sunday 4th and Wednesday 7th Jan. I have my invite here but there's nothing I need. I get 5kg of wire for £10 from my local welding supplier.
