looks like a pre lit westy to me,and a tad too dear!

chillis - 9/2/13 at 10:17 PM

Back end/rear tub looks westfield, though the locost is very similar to the westfield chassis anyway. And yes far too dear, you can buy one on the road for that price at the mo.

Its not a prelit the rear arches are wrong they have the extra ridge but i would say its an expense westy.

wilkingj - 9/2/13 at 11:05 PM

No information re V5 or if its SVA'd etc etc.

Too pricey unless all that is in place.
L reg plate shown, but is it for that car?
When was the first Westie made?

Not enough real info.

martin1973 - 9/2/13 at 11:46 PM

reg shown is for a 1600 ford?

slingshot2000 - 10/2/13 at 12:07 AM

It is definetly a Westfield. Not a pre-lit, but one of the first built after the court case was settled.
I have an almost identical kit in the garage. However mine was most likely the first one with an idependant rear end.
Mine has never been finished and IVAed, as yet. I have not owned it from new, but I am still in regular contact with the person that ordered it and they still live within about 1/2mile of the factory.

Regards
Jon

thats a westfield...it wont need an IVA its already been registered.
i built one years ago, just after the litigation over the the windscreen
and a few more other things..
back in those days,
you informed the vehicle registration people.
they sent a guy, who checked the chassis number
engine no..a any receipts you had..he said thats ok..
i ended up with a Q plate...

prior to that i built a marlin roadster..the donor gear was off a triumph vitesse
as i had the log book, i just put change of body work on the log book, a sent it off..
when it came back, i went a taxed it....
IT WAS BLOODY SIMPLE YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
