That is an impressive motor at that price. How many gallons per mile will it do?

Are they fast?

What's it going to cost to run? and I don't mean petrol

britishtrident - 5/9/05 at 12:34 PM

Mustang V8 rwd
260 ps
302 FtLbs torque
0 to 60 6.9 seconds
151 mph top

I suspect the 50 to 100mph over taking performance will be err "quite good"

Is that the model where Clarkson smacked his head on the window during Top Gear?

Seem to remember he rather like it.

Or was that an MG version or something...?

Cheers,
James

The V8 was made as both a ZT and 75 and as far as I can see the only differences were cosmetic --in contrast to the other 75 & ZT models the MG ZT v8 looks less "chavalised" .

I can understand Clarkston hitting his bonce as the 75 is a bit short of head room unless you put the seat fully down.

The death throws of MG-Rover produced so many variations of the 25,45 & 75 that I couldn't keep up the all the permutations -- sometimes I play a game when driving trying to spot how many different variations of 45 front end styling I can spot.

Clarkson hit his head oin that other MG thing they made, the one that's made of carbon fiber and has the Mustang V8 (see below). It's nice but spoilt by really nasty cheap oval side indicators..... like the type i'll probably be fitting to my Indy!

The V8 75 is a different beastie
