Dunno whether it's a bargain or not but there's one sat in the breakers next to work. The engine (nee the car) looks intact from what I can see on the CCTV and hasn't been crunched. The tel number is 01733 (Peterborough) 340655.

I used an MX-5 for everything but my engine. Personally--and oc course I'm biased--I think they make a perfect donor. The uprights are very small
and very light.

Can't actually go in as I'm at work. It's a series 1, the one with the popup
headlights, if that's any help? didn't user jag use an mx5 as a donor on his locost....
Most MX-5s do have the power assist. Look on the passenger side of the engine for the pump. If there are two pulleys over there, you're looking
at air con as well.
It's a good donor if you can cope with the IRS.
