Looks just what I need to improve my cooling and nice price.

Just bought one.

Thanks Ray!

iank - 1/9/06 at 12:09 PM

+£7 P&P
Didn't stop me, only 8 left now

rayward - 1/9/06 at 12:11 PM

just reversed the + and - connections, and it seems to move as much air running either way(in opposite directions!), so will be ok as a push or pull.

yeah postage did put me off a bit at first, but when it arrived the postage was £6.30 odd, so he's not making on the postage.

quick delivery aswell.

That's good to know, seen some silly postage prices on ebay, though I think they have been trying to stamp that out.

Thanks for the tip

Hammerhead - 1/9/06 at 12:54 PM

I've just bought one too.

Good tip, thanks and well spotted.

Me Too

speed8 - 1/9/06 at 01:08 PM

Just bought one.

I've been dithering between sticking with the R1 rad and fan or changing to a micra/polo one. It was the fan prices that have been putting me off.

mackei23b - 1/9/06 at 01:09 PM

Just got one too, I wasn't planning to until I saw the comments.

Hammerhead - 1/9/06 at 01:16 PM

3 left now then??

big_wasa - 1/9/06 at 07:11 PM

Make that one left

I looked at these last week but didnt bother as it didnt have the wiring. But I need one so...

Does any one know what model rover they are from so I can go and get a plug ?

iank - 2/9/06 at 10:37 AM

All gone now

rayward - 2/9/06 at 11:52 AM

Ray

givemethebighammer - 2/9/06 at 10:05 PM

Just bought one, anyone worked out where to get the plug from yet ?

iank - 2/9/06 at 10:41 PM

Suprised the price hasn't been adjusted - the last 10 flew out.

I've just checked and it looks very similar to the fan in my Rover 200 (P reg, 1.4, 8v poverty spec).
But don't go buying any connectors until I get mine and compare side to side

rayward - 2/9/06 at 11:12 PM

bah,

i should have organised comission

Ray

givemethebighammer - 3/9/06 at 06:39 PM

Just had a message back from the sell about the connector

"The Rover cars I believe are the 400 series. However I have used female crimp-on connectors which work brilliantly. I hope this helps. Huw"

Anyone got a Rover 400 can confirm this ?

Winston Todge - 3/9/06 at 07:00 PM

Cheers Ray!

Just ordered mine...

You reckon it's not too bad as a push then?

Ta,

Chris.

UncleFista - 3/9/06 at 11:19 PM

I'm sure these were for sale on ebay ages ago, the ad said they were removed from Rover 400s on the production line when they were fitted with air-con.

They look similar anyway

speed8 - 4/9/06 at 02:27 PM

Mine arrived this morning.
Quick compared to the crimp tool I ordered a week ago which still hasn't arrived.

big_wasa - 13/9/06 at 08:57 PM

mine was quick aswell and I have already altered it

andyace - 14/9/06 at 07:45 AM

Isn't that big sheet of ali holding the fan on going to restrict airflow ?

I doubt the cardboard will help much either.
