well, the claim it will beat most bikes on the road, haha, most bikes on the road will beat any car, so what is it he thinks hes selling...... id love to see it against an R1 with a rider in the know. wonder who would make 100 1st, and last time i looked, a locost had problems passing 200 mph........ but what do i know???

I sort of get it now - but is it not allowed to use one kit car as a donor for others, or use the parts to rebuild (Hellfire - did you keep the same reg?).

Seems to be two issues here though - the fact that one wrecked kit car has been used as a donor to another, and the fact that the workmanship may have been at fault and there was a dispute.

But the same applies surely - you replace various broken parts and keep the ok bits.

Or is there a certain point where it HAS to become a new car?

Cheap way into Formula 1 if it "WILL EAT ALL FERRARI" (ignoring the obvious regulations it wouldn't meet)

But you can upgrade as you go along? So could replace most of the parts without problem.

It'd probably be considered a lot less dodgy if the background to the whole thing was a little less, erm, tarnished?

i was of the impression as was the allegation of the day that giving the reg of one written off car to another new unregistered one was known as 'ringing' especially when the culprit was a kit manufacturer at the time.

ps then the car sold as new to an unsuspecting customer who believes it to be a new car and the propshaft later fails on an un-sva'd or build tested car.
