Not sure why anyone would go as far as spending money to prove their gingoistic xenophobia!!
I know some people do it to try and "reclaim" the Union Flag (Union Jack strictly speaking should be used [at least in its original sense] only when flown on the bow of a ship) but why bother? Give it up as a bad job....
Then again, I always write "European" in hotel check-in books. Not 'cos I feel European, just cos it pisses off the narrow minded biggots who right thinks like "Very British" under nationality

i don't write British i write English as i like to be patriotic although i'm starting to ask myself why i bother these days!!!!!!!!!

I remember seeing one of these check-in books having loads of 'British' listed (with the odd French, German etc as well). Then, someone wrote 'Welsh'. Never saw another 'British' after that. Rather sad really

The only time i am anti Welsh or Scottish is when i'm watching the rugby, but again thats just down to patriotism and i'm hating the fact that just about everyone beats England at the moment.
