am i correct in thinking this is not powerfull enough to run airtools? ie impact guns?

Works better than most.. I have two compressors and the second hardly ever comes on.. The 4cfm tools are fine.. For the price the compressor is bigger
than ones at the same price from machine mart etc. (in fact I think SIP do the same one for around 200 notes)

Can't see why you would need any valves or anything, just connect directly. You aren't increasing the pressure in any way, just doubling the storage capacity and max flow rate. The pressure in both tanks will always be equal and the pumps should both come on and off pretty much together.
Do you think this would have enuff ummph to run an impact gun?

my dad used to have a small compressor and found it struggled with certain things (spraying air tools etc)
he got hold of an largish old gas bottle (free) and connected it in line. this gave much longer spray time or tool use

MikeR.. Just conected the high preasure outlets together, they are connected directly to the tank before the regulator. Somthing the manual fails to
tell you. On the face of it you would think both are regulated untill you realise were both the preasure gauges are plumbed in..
Works well as both compressors have diffrent settings of on/off preasure (tolerance I guess) so only two come on when using large mounts of air, most
of the time only one comes on.. With the amount of stored air (48ltr) I can drill 2 or three holes on the chassis without the compressor(s)
starting..
The only thing to watch out for is that becuase you use a male quick coupler on both ends of the hose connected them you can empty the tank directly
if you remove one by acident. Not nice dont fancy hose wiping about with 100psi air coming out the end.. To stop me doing this durring a laps of
concentration (happens to offten!) a cablet tie around the coupler stops them being undone.
I also have an oil speperator in the outlet side, else you will get oil vapour/water in the hoses etc.
It works for me, have had no problem with lack of air using the aldi tools (drill and ratchet). Not tryed spraying yet..
Just remember two makes more noise than one!

No problem about coming on at the same time.. It's not really an issue as they don't, if you think about it it's nearly impossible
unless the switch is set to exactly the same pressure...

Thanks for the heads up on this one - we finally have a new Aldi near us, went in this morning and bought the whole kit, compressor, airline
extension, drill, die grinder, ratchet, impact gun, cut off saw, oil for everything all for £192 - BARGAIN - thanks guys , can't wait to set
it all up and have a play ....
