My Cosmoair 2hp compressor has stopped working and I've traced the fault to a broken piece of steel that acts like a non-return valve.
It's 0.2mm thick and 12mm x 30mm and I can't find anyone that either sells spare parts or steel sheet in that thickness.
Can anyone help?

What about an old feeler guage
Must do 0.2mm approx 0.008" 8thou.
Only thing might no be wide enough.
Sound like reed valves. Could fashion a replacement from steel shimstock readily available, search the Bay.
Shim is available from most engineer's supplies, Buck and hickman have:
Linky

Used to have the range of it at work, I'll check tomorrow and if there's any there I'll mail you a bit, I'll u2u you if I find
some
Stott
If it's the bit under the cylinder head you might get one as part of a service kit from SIP if they do a compressor the same spec, they are the same company.
Thanks everyone. Use a bit of a tin lid as suggested and works like a dream.
Awww, and I went and cut off a big bit of 0.14 and 0.25 for ya today too!
nevermind, I'tll be handy if I never use it.............
