Have one of these sets, got it from B&Q ages ago for similar money, this coupled with my cordless drill is very handy for fixing most things, saves lugging loads of tools about the house & garden.

Bosch quality, but have broken a few drills which can be easily replaced.

tool station and screwfix have good kits like that for less money.

Which brands should i be looking at?

Bosch
Hitachi
Dewalt
JCB?

Which to avoid?

In my experience they are all much of a muchness all the same but with a different name on the box all titanium coated, just what thats supposed to do I dont know and mediocre quality.
Youd be far better off buying a box of HSS drills and high quality Pozi bits if you need them a lot of that stuff in those kits you'll never use and those that you do will break or blunt faster than a fast thing from fastville.
Just my 2 pennorth.

Bob

Well

Just ordered the Bosch 103 piece accessory set

Should be more than enough for the all round maintenance on my flat.
