After researching the market for a rivnut setting tool as well made as the one Mark Allanson mentioned a month or so ago, I'd almost given up,
having been quoted nearly £200 for the tool. The alternative plier types seem fragile, given recent discussion and perhaps not up to fitting 8mm
stainless rivnuts.
Anyway, I commend to the forum the tool from Zygology (www.zygology.com) the Z100, as shown in the attached photo. The tool is very well made and
works great.

Bugger, I meant to say it's £35 + VAT, not bad for the quality

Zygology are a good company to buy closed-end pop rivets from as well... I bought a bag of 500 for around £15.
They have a huge range of rivets in assorted types and materials.

Whats the difference between that and the homemade tool often seen for sale on Ebay? They seem to work on the same principle to me.
The tool is easliy made in about 30 mins more or less out of scrap. Doesn't look so good on the shelf, but works fine for me.
Good stuff on that site deffo getting some from them
