I've just taken delivery of my new Tig Welder.
Thought I'd post up on here in case anyone else is looking for one
I've uploaded some pics of welder to this link ( hope it works )

I didn't get chance to try all the settings, pulse etc.
The pedal appears to be more of switch than a 'volume' pedal - but still very useful - there may be a setting to use as 'volume'
but the instructions that came with it are a bit lacking - I'll have to do some research.
So, how did it weld ? In a word - great !
Any deficiencies you notice in the welds are down to me - I haven't picked a Tig torch up for 30 years ! So I don't think it's too bad
- more practice required though.
It welded stainless fine on DC and Ally fine on AC.
I need to spend much more time with it, but I'm very happy with it.
I was trying it out at my mates fabrication workshop and he was very impressed with it.
Cheers
Rob

Ive just acquired a TIG from the son in law who has upgraded his to a top dollar one, so the Hobbyweld argon is in the garage connected up, just need
to go and play....
Post up your findings and pics, hardest thing I am encountering is setting the amperage, as my mig has only 4 settings, the tig is much mor accurate.
So I either blow holes in the job or dont have enough amps...
I'm no expert but here goes.
Tig is much slower than mig, try keeping to the lower amp settings and allow the weld pool to build up before moving the torch.
Have a look on here ( if you haven't already ) there are some good tutorials.
