Ok gents I’v just managed to blag a boc gas cylinder from the local pub (it is pure co2 before anyone says otherwise) my problem is that it has a male thread on it apposed to the normal screw in fitting. Anyone know what thread size it is? its not ½” BSP but very close?

cheers

Get a CO2 regulator for it. It has the right female union on it.

2 guage regulator from Machine Mart was cheap enough, no more than £20 anyway and has worked faultlessly.

Just wish we could remember to turn the gas off when we've finished

I've got an old pub regulator which I fitted with an old hydraulic fitting with some 8mm microbore copper tube soldered into it, gas pipe pushed and jubileed over the end of that.

I got a new welder and wanted it working fast and it was a sunday so that was a temporary fix.....................still going strong 4 years on!!!
